OUR POWDER COATING PROCESS:

  • When being booked in, you’ll be given a price, timescales and a real expectation of what the finished item will look like

  • If needed it will then be stripped or blasted. Silicon bungs and masking tape will be put on all threads if needed

  • We will then inspect it for any cracks or deficiencies and you’ll be informed of our findings

  • Our team will then powder coat using a zinc rich or anti gassing primer, depending on the material, before being inspected

  • A top coat (colour of your choice) is applied and inspected

  • A lacquer is applied and a final inspection is carried before your item is wrapped in the appropriate material

During this process, your item(s) will be inspected 5 times process and receive 3 coats of powder.

TYPES OF POWDER:

Polyester – This cost-effective coating won’t run or drip like paint can, so you don’t need to sand it down and start again. Any excess powder can be recovered and reused, ensuring minimal waste.

Epoxy – Epoxy Powder Coating (EPC) produces a very hard, durable finish for metal. This allows surfaces to withstand a wide range of temperatures - ideal for adding electrical insulation and impact resistance.

Epoxy Polyester - This combines the chemical and corrosion resistance of PPC with the hardness and waterproof quality of EPC. Generally used for office furniture, shelving and under-hood car parts.
